Description

Empire Ink's Whitewash system, designed for artists who focus on value expression in graywash work.

Empire Ink Whitewash Light is an ink designed to eliminate the need to separately mix white into graywash work, and instead be used as a pre-adjusted, semi-opaque milky gray. It is suitable for situations where you want to achieve a stable value with the translucency that blends into the skin, similar to graywash.

Empire Ink's Whitewash system was developed based on the personal tattooing experience of brand owner Colt Brown. It replicates the "color scheme created when two drops of white are added to a cap of graywash" as a product, and is designed to be compatible with techniques that involve slowly and evenly spreading the ink on the skin. It is intended to be used by distinguishing between whitewash for value and graywash for transparent shadows.

Product Features

  • Semi-opaque milky gray: Replicates the state of graywash mixed with white as a product, allowing for consistent value without on-the-spot adjustments in the cap.
  • Designed for use in conjunction with graywash: Allows for a clear distinction in roles, using graywash for transparent shadows and whitewash for value expression.
  • Viscosity designed for slow hand movements: Adjusted for use with techniques that involve only gliding the needle backward and maintaining a consistent depth.
  • Artist-led product development: Empire Ink is a brand developed by combining tattoo artists' experience with scientific product design.
