BOKUSAI -INKED GEL

Formulated with Lithospermum erythrorhizon (murasaki) which has anti-inflammatory properties, it aids in skin healing of tattoos after application, helping tattoos set faster and more beautifully.

What is Lithospermum erythrorhizon (Murasaki)?

Shikon, the root of the murasaki plant used as a crude drug, has long been known to relieve heat in affected areas and is used externally as a crude drug with anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and detoxifying properties. In addition, shikon has been widely used as an ingredient in ointments and cosmetics since ancient times due to its ability to suppress inflammation, soothe rashes, improve blood circulation, and promote wound healing. Seishu Hanaoka, a doctor in the Edo period who successfully performed the first general anesthesia in Japan, was famously a devotee of "Shiunko," an external herbal medicine containing shikon.
The reason for faster wound healing is that shikon promotes the drainage of pus from wounds and affected areas and stimulates the formation of granulation tissue.
