Empire-Ink is an ink manufacturer launched in 2012 by a professional tattoo artist in Wisconsin, USA. Having been on the market for just over 10 years, it is a relatively new ink manufacturer!
Founder Colt Brown, with his deep knowledge of the characteristics of black & white inks, has primarily manufactured black, white, and grey wash series inks. Noticing that while machines and needles improved in quality year after year, inks didn't see significant changes, Brown decided to create high-quality and safe inks for professional artists with his own hands. Now, due to its high quality, it has become an ink brand used not only in the USA but worldwide.
And now, in addition to black & white, a color series of inks has also been manufactured and sold.
What are the characteristics of Empire Ink?

Quality and Consistency:
Empire Ink products are manufactured with a strong focus on maintaining consistent quality. While this may seem obvious, strict quality control is implemented throughout the manufacturing process to ensure there are no color variations or individual differences in each ink.
Safety:
Empire Ink's inks undergo thorough testing before use, and only those guaranteed to be gentle on the skin and safe are sold.
Diverse Product Range:
Empire Ink has gained a strong reputation for its foundational colors: grey wash, black, and white. More recently, they have started offering various types of tattoo inks, including a color line. This provides artists with a wide range of options to meet all types of tattooing needs.
Co-development with Artists:
Empire Ink works closely with artists to develop their inks. This approach ensures that the products meet the needs and demands of actual tattoo artists.
Sustainability:
A commitment to eco-friendly products and sustainable practices is also a key feature of Empire Ink.
Empire-Ink Product Features
White Wash

"A milky, translucent grey wash created by adding a few drops of white to a cap of grey wash." This ink set eliminates the need to add white like with regular grey wash, achieving a smoother grey finish. White Wash, unlike using Empire-Ink's Grey Wash, produces cooler tones and a translucent grey finish.
It is suitable for artists who prefer a slow-hand approach.

Classic Black

Classic Black is the basic black color in the Empire Ink range.
The ink is characterized by its medium viscosity and blends well with warm skin tones. Classic Black is a versatile black that can be used for lining, packing, and shading. If you are tattooing with only black ink, this versatile Classic is highly recommended.

Ivory Black

Ivory Black is the darkest black in the Empire Ink range. It also has a medium viscosity and is formulated to be smoother. It is not suitable for outlining but is ideal for solid filling of larger areas.

Empire-Ink Color Set
Empire-Ink, known for its strong black & white and grey wash inks, finally launched a new color ink series last year!

What distinguishes Empire-Ink's colors from other ink manufacturers is that only these 10 colors are sold. Typically, you'd find your desired colors on a website and purchase them individually. With Empire-Ink, instead of buying individual colors, you mix these 10 colors to create your desired shades. From 10 x 10 combinations, you can make 100 colors, and by adding white or other applications, you can create over 100 colors. Considering you only need 10 bottles instead of buying 100, this is the ultimate high-cost-performance ink set!
As explained here, to use it, you select your desired color from the color chart and mix the inks with corresponding numbers. To lighten a color, add white gradually until you achieve the desired brightness. Please refer to the sales site for more details.
This is a very convenient ink set that allows for customization to your preference.
Please give it a try!
